Students were shown multiple ways to produce prints
using a gelatin printing plate. They were then asked to bring an example of an artist's mixed-media piece to share with the class, and there was a discussion about different ways that separate textures, patterns, colors, and/or materials can be combined in one piece . The last step was to use at least some of their prints to create a mixed-media piece of their own while keeping the colors and textures of their prints in mind.
